Established in 2014, the Democratic Women of Catawba County, or DWCC, is an inclusive and diverse group of progressive women committed to empowering everyone. We do this three ways:
- Working to elect progressive Democrats, especially women.
- Registering voters.
- Raising awareness and informing voters about key issues:
- public education
- access to health care
- economic equality
- voting rights.
DWCC is a chapter of the Democratic Women of North Carolina and an auxiliary of the Catawba County Democratic Party. DWCC meets the third Saturday of the month (with some exceptions) at 12 noon at 1612 Tate Blvd. SE, Hickory, NC. We do not hold a December meeting.
We have bylaws and our meetings are consistent with Robert’s Rules of Order. We have standing committees on issues, promotion, and fundraising and form ad hoc committees as necessary.
Please join our fight for North Carolina women and families.
